AFCEA, a successful defence event for the military IT-Community in Germany
One month ago, Airbus participated to AFCEA Fachausstellung, which has now become the key defence event in Germany over the years. Actually it is a great platform for customer meetings, alignments, presentations and showcasing our defence and security solutions.
This year the event was very well received. The two-day event (10th and 11th May) took place in the World Conference Center in Bonn and Airbus as a key exhibitor was focusing on putting the H145M, luWES, A400M and Electronic Warfare made in Germany. With an EuroStar neo mockup on site, Space Systems supported the SATCOMBw campaign (stage 3). Intelligence concentrated on the Multi Domain Combat Cloud (MDCC) with an impressive live demonstrator. Secure Communications was all about SATCOM solutions and connectivity for different military domains (Space, Land, Sea). With a special focus on interoperability Secure Land Communications showcased communication solutions for blue light and military forces. Cyber Programmes featured their CyberRange and the protection from cyber threats in the defence sector.
In order to engage with potential candidates in that special community our Airbus recruitment colleagues took the chance to present Airbus as an attractive employer.
Furthermore two Airbus colleagues shaped the conference programme by speaking in the Industry Forum. Andreas Reinecke (Head of Secure Communications Business Growth) gave a very interesting overview on "Broadband BLOS Connectivity", followed by the presentation "Use Cases for AI in the Multi-Domain Combat Cloud" provided by Daniel Kallfass (Expert for Operational Analysis & Deputy Head of TEMOA). Both sessions attracted a large audience and it was hard to find any free seats.
Facts and figures about the event:
- 250 exhibitors
- 181 booths
- 38 presentations from different companies
- 1.865 visitors (day 1)
- 921 visitors (day 2)
