SOTM
Villepinte Exhibition Centre will reopen its doors from 17th - 21th June for EUROSATORY 2024.
The aim of EUROSATORY is to contribute to “Inventing the responsible Defence and Security of the world of tomorrow” to tackle all types of crises.
On this occasion we will be introducing SOTM (Satcom On the Move) and a live demo.
The SOTM is a terminal that can be installed on armoured vehicles. It provides connectivity via 3 frequency bands (X-Band, Ka-Mil and Commercial Ka), offering operational flexibility ranging from high throughput to high link availability.
Live demo
The live demo will be based on SD WAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network) solution.
The scenario involves a private network (operational) on a first satellite link, and a public network (welfare) on a second satellite link. The two networks are interfaced to a router that manages their prioritisation.
In the event of the loss of one of the satellite links, the router will automatically switch communications to the second satellite link. The effect of this is not to cut off communications between the sites, but to slow down their exchange.
When the satellite link is restored, the router will switch its network back to it, making communications fluid and direct once again.
